I was so excited a few months ago when I heard that Alain Gree was going to be putting out a few new books! I ordered them quickly for one of my daughters for Christmas. In a future post I will show the board books by Alain Gree that I got for her, and I will also show the PLOC magazines that I have by this amazing illustrator. Alain Gree was born in France and has published over 300 books. Most of these were published in the 1960's. They totally still have that fun groovy feel! Check out this YouTube video of Alain Gree at work:
This is flippin' adorable. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

ReplyDeleteI know, doesn't it just make you happy to look at it?
DeleteFabulous illustrations! They remind me a little of Richard Scarry - I think it must be because of the bright colours.
ReplyDeleteYes they have that same cheerfulness to them, don't they?
DeleteI totally love Alain Grée's illustrations! I did not know he was going to make more books! Hurray to that! Can't wait to see what you will post about him! What is a PLOC magazine?
