The First Noel
I love the cool illustrations in this Golden Book illustrated by Alice and Martin Provensen. They were a husband and wife team that illustrated around 40 books together. The First Noel was published in 1959. I'm mooooostly ready for Christmas, how about you? We have SO much snow compared to last year. I'm looking forward to the Christmas Eve service at our church. They always have cool crafts and yummy snacks out for the kids, and I always love the music. During the holidays I'm hoping to take my older 2 girls to a couple movies and to do lots of visiting with family and friends. Happy holidays everyone!

Vintage TV and Toys for the Very Young - The Hanna- Barbera Treasury
Check out this amazing coffee table book that I borrowed from the library - The Hanna Barbera Treasury! Many of us have happy memories of watching Hanna-Barbera cartoons, back when "Saturday morning cartoons" was still a thing. I am trying to make more of an effort to show my kids some of my favourites from childhood - thank goodness for YouTube! Which Hanna- Barbera show or character was your favourite?

It's a Small World
I was so excited to find the book-and-record version of It's a Small World, although without the record, not that it matters since I don't have a record player anyway! I'm pretty sure I remember having this as a kid. I would love to take my kids to see the ride at Disney one day. The amazing Mary Blair designed the look of the Small World ride. Sorry for the sideways pictures at the bottom - I'm using BlogPad Pro for IPad and I can't for the life of me figure out how to rotate them.

Animal Babies
Hi everyone! Check out these wonderful illustrations by Art Seiden in the book Animal Babies, published by Whitman. I love when I find these big oversize books. Life has been busy here with my 3 daughters, one of whom has special needs, and my poor blog has been neglected. I am hoping to do a bit better with that ! It is coming up on my 4 year blog-o-versary. I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful springtime - ours was late to really arrive but is finally shaping up nicely.

Strawberry Shortcake and the Winter That Would Not End
Look at this sweet Strawberry Shortcake book I found in the library discards! Are you feeling like winter will never end? We'll see what the groundhog says in a few days. We've been lucky so far we haven't had a ton of snow to shovel. One of these days I shall have to do a post with some pics of my youngest daughter's first birthday last year - did a Strawberry Shortcake theme.
