Posted by PicasaTwo beautifully illustrated books for you today- The Hat Book, illustrated by Leonard Shortall, and The Story of Rapunzel - a Disneyland Record and Book.  I really wish I had a working record player to be able to play some of the old records I have.  We looked into buying one at one point but decided not to spend the money on it.

We've been enjoying a beautiful fall here so far.  It's going to get busy with our Canadian Thanksgiving coming up, my daughter's 7th birthday, Halloween, and our new baby due in about 5 weeks...!

  2. Beautiful, The Hat Book reminds me of I Am A Bunny, probably the same illustrator? Good luck, enjoy the next five weeks and the exciting ones after that!

    1. Thanks Lucy! Actually, I Am a Bunny is illustrated by Richard Scarry! But I agree that the style of the illustrations in that book is definitely similar to The Hat Book!

  4. I had the Rapunzel book and record as a little girl and a few years ago purchased it on eBay. I can't listen to it either, but I remember one of the songs on the record: Here in my room, I'm so alone, no one to hold in my arms...I can't go on without you...I am so lonely and blue. The sun shines in my room so bright, and no one knows that I cried last night. I'm lonely, I'm lonely, I'm lonely....I'm lonely for my love.
